Gallup! Book for August....and beyond!

When Elaine asked me to consider selecting and leading the Book Club for August, it didn't take me long to say yes! But then came the hard choice, which book? I thought of the gals in the Book Club and before I knew it I had the book. It's entitled "Half Time" by Bob Buford from Zondervan Publishing House.

So I might be admitting my age here, but the book addresses that point in our lives, Half Time which represents a transition period. A time when we go from "success" to "significance". Success can take on many forms - from raising children, managing careers, dealing with marriage issues, etc. but then suddenly we find ourselves at that halfway point in our lives and we wonder how we got there. And more importantly, what are we going to do about it? How we make the second half better and more significant? Not only for us, but for others?

So whether you are at the Half Time in your life or not, I think there all things we could realize from this book. Hope to see you at GallUP! Book Club in August.
