We are now an official club! Our President is Peggy Helland, Vice President/Marketing, Debbie Haglund, and Secretary, Susie Ula. How exciting! Sarah Rhoe was the first to 'move' that we close our first official meeting! Yea, how fun! We have our first out of state members, Sherry Moore from California and Beth Dalton from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma! Both ladies have an equestrian center of their own that they use as ministry bases! They have both come into relationship with Unbridled Faith Farm and are now Certified thru us to do Women and Horses-Experiential Healing Seminars!
Last GallUP! Getaway we rode the Freedom Trail! It was great...with one small...ah distraction...me and my horse Kisses! I came pretty close to gettng launched into several trees and streams; my filly was just about out of control. I couldn't figure it out, it was so unlike her. Finally I made a call to head back to the barn. i didn't want to loose it with all the ladies there and have it ruin the ride. Sarah, Sherry, Debbie and Emmy went back with me. When I got to the barn I realized Kisses had had an allergic reaction to a weed and the sun. Her lips had bloody blisters all over them and her little face was puffy! I should have listened to my self and realized she would never do that to me for no reason. She was trying to tell me she was is pain. I fest so sad. The next day she was much better. As I took a closer look at her mouth, I realized she was also cutting her wolf teeth...poor, painful, little filly. I'm happy to say she's over it all and having the wolf teeth removed tomorrow. Once again my horse taught me an important lesson. Listen to that inner voice. Don't second guess yourself. I was more concerned with getting the ride going than I was with My Partner, Kisses. I hope I never do that again.
After the little 'back to the barn' deversion, we headed out to the camp site for dinner and fun! It wasn't long before Peggy and Sue met us up at the camp after their advanced trail ride (any trail that you really can't see at all qualifies as a trail to those two!) We laughed and told crazy stories all night! Peggy played her guitar and we sang some oldies! Sarah hung upside down in a tree for our enterainment...Pat and Zip made sure we were all comfy and cozy! Susie and Racheal drove the 'Whaaaambulance" (the ATV that picks up anyone who can't or doesn't want to ride any more). We made it back to the Bunk House, tucked our horses in for the evening, and eventually hit the hay (after a Trail Guided Meditation). In the morning we did Cowgirl Ballet to "The Great Adventure" by Steven Curtis Chapman...and we were pretty good! Sue Isler and her horse set the pace!
I want to say a special thanks to Pat Schutt and Sue Weel for all there generous donations to the Bunk House and to the Farm! What a giant answer to prayer! Suesy and Peggy...your both a blessing stait from the Great Trail Guide...what would we do without you two! We have the best ladies out here! What a great group!
We have GallUP! t-shirst, hats, stickers and jewelry! They are for fundraising and are sold at a suggested donation price. Visit the Unbridled Boutique to make your donation!
